ART X MARX

Lincoln Marx was born in Los Angeles in 1980. They are an autodidact visual and sculptural artist who works in various materials and scales. With a background in graphic design and photography they gravitated toward painting and mixed media to integrate stylistic and textural elements. Their art focuses on their experience as a queer person and explores embodiments of gender and the clash between signifier and signified in a society shaped by normative perspectives. 

Lincoln Marx lives in Los Angeles where they create art in their backyard studio, whether it is painting, sculpting, writing, or making music. They live with their spouse and a senior chihuahua.
